I practice Lacanian psychoanalysis in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and German.
Growing up in Hong Kong, I was later working as an anthropological writer and photographer in Taiwan and in Bosnia & Herzegovina. My academic pursuit in philosophy and literature was followed by continuous clinical formation at the Clinical College of Colorado. I am a member of the Colorado Analytic Forum of the Lacanian Field, engaging in the clinical and theoretical work at the International of Forums-School of Psychoanalysis of the Lacanian Field (IF-SPFLF), particularly, in the Anglophone Zone and the Multilingual Zone. I am also a member of Qualitätszirkel (Qualitycircle), a working group of English-speaking therapists and analysts within the Berlin Health administration (Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Berlin); and a research fellow at International Institution of Psychoanalysis.
Currently, I am working on a few translation projects: translating the works of Sigmund Freud from German original into Chinese (the only available Chinese edition of Freud’s works is incomplete, thus, it is translated from James Strachey’s Standard Edition, which is already an English translation from the German original), and translating essays on the clinic and transmission of Lacanian psychoanalysis written in the Chinese language into English.
